Bill Bryson Tries Nearly Everything - Does He Succeed?

Well, finished with the Bill Bryson book, A Short History of Nearly Everything? Cover to cover? I'm impressed! I know of at least 3 of us who had a little trouble with the book. And, I will say again, I have laughed out loud many times at Bryson's travelogues.

A Short History of Nearly Everything has some of the Bryson wit in it, and a lot of good writing; but I haven't seen any severe comedy, and it tends to be a bit dry here and there. If you're really having problems with the book, why not try a chapter, any chapter that interests you! The chapters don't have much of an order, and each covers different topics. I am currently enjoying the one on geology.
