Author Visit - Bill Brandes

W.H. Brandes did a lot of research for The Age of Gold! It is not a quick read, but it's as close to a page-turner as a factual history book of textbook quality can be. It is full of rich history, lots of description of how things were back then! Very full!

Mr. Brandes visited our group - I didn't write anything, so I am writing this for the blog at a later date. I remember we were all spellbound in the author's presence. He is a lecturer and professor at Texas A&M, and his talk for us was as interesting and well put-together as a top-notch college lecture!
