Round Rock New Neighbors is a social organization of women welcoming women in the Round Rock area since 1978. Both "new" and "old" neighbors are welcome. Book Buzz: Adult Summer Reading Kick-off

June 6 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

To kick off our Adult Summer Reading Program, the Round Rock Public Library is hosting a Penguin Random House rep who will buzz about forthcoming books and give readers the inside scoop on Summer 2017 titles, Tuesday, June 6, Meeting Room C. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.; presentation will begin at 7 p.m.

Advanced Reader Samplers, book catalogs, door prizes, and Keep Calm and Read On Tote bags will be available for attendees. (Please note: One ticket per person. Tickets are non-transferable. Your name must be on your ticket. Also, you must be present to claim your tote bag.)

Refreshments will be served. Registration is limited to 80.

Interesting article about the art and calling the red feathers depicted in the painting representative of the blood of Christ. To me, that is a bit far-fetched, but not knowing whether that is a custom in art history, I will consider it good thinking and writing. I now have a copy of Donna Tartt's 2 other books, The Little Friend and The Secret History. Readers seem to have rediscovered them and seem to like them.
