A great discussion by the group today on the books of Jim Thompson. To my delight, various people in the club read at least thirteen different books by him, including the following: Now and on Earth, The Killer Inside Me, The Alcoholics, Bad Boy, A Swell-Looking Babe, A Hell of a Woman , After Dark My Sweet , Wild Town, The Getaway, The Grifters, Pop. 1280, Texas By The Tail, and The Rip-Off. Plus several people watched one of more of the films based on this novels. Great job, everyone!
