Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister Reminds Us of Cinderella
Our meeting Monday was well-attended. Everyone seemed to have enjoyed the book, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, by Gregory Maguire. Once again, we shared insights and questions, this time about intended meanings, who did what to whom, universal themes, the history of the Cinderella story, and the motives of the characters. This was a book by an author who has a large and devoted following but was somewhat unknown to some of us. You can get a lot from our group if you read the book and join us for the discussion!
